Welcome to Cape Cuvier and the Carnarvon Islands

About 40 nautical miles west of Carnarvon lay the Dorre, Bernier and Koks Islands. This spectacular region is a favourite destination for many anglers and is home to some of the best fishing along the WA coast.

Roughly midway between Quobba and Red Bluff, the waters off Cape Cuvier range from shallows and up to 90 metres deep, giving you the opportunity to catch species like Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Estuary Cod, Trevally, Mulloway, Baldchin Groper and Pink Snapper. There must be something in the water in Carnarvon and Cape Cuvier as a lot of the species tend to be supersized and put up a hell of a fight.

Or, why not get off the boat for a bit and walk the shores of some of the most pristine, unspoiled islands in the world? There’s always a few mud crabs around for a bit of fun as well.
