About Top Gun II

The original vessel, Top Gun, was a converted cray fishing boat. In 1998, it was time for an upgrade, and the versatile, custom designed Westcoaster was built – the Top Gun II.

A spacious and luxurious purpose-built charter boat, Top Gun II is an incredible 19 metres in length and a beam short of 6 metres wide. This means plenty of room for you and your mates, whether you’re aboard to fish or party.

Top Gun II facilities

Top Gun II is the ultimate fishing charter vessel. With fully air-conditioned accommodation areas, spacious fully equipped galley and dining area, and large outdoor deck area, it has everything you need for the fishing trip or charter of a lifetime.

Top Gun II can hold a maximum of 15 guests for fishing charters, making it the perfect choice if you have a big group of mates, or a large family that want to go on a trip together. We can also accommodate small groups, and those keen for a solo trip.

With individual large bunk bed accommodation, you will rest comfortably after a day fishing. We also have the option of four bunkbeds undercover on the back deck.

Perth day charters

For day charters in Perth, we can accommodate up to 80 guests on the Swan River, and 65 to Rottnest Island or Carnac Island.

With two showers and toilets, accessible flybridge, and a great sound system, Top Gun II is the perfect place for your next celebration.

Top Gun II accessibility

At Top Gun Charters, we believe the joy of fishing and enjoying the water should be experienced by everyone. We’ve invested in making Top Gun II wheelchair accessible, including a ramp for embarking and disembarking, and an accessible bathroom. If you use a wheelchair, or require accessible facilities, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to book an event or charter.

Top Gun charter catering

We’re often asked about the quality of food we serve, which is understandable, considering often we’re in the middle of the ocean! All our liveaboard fishing charter rates are inclusive of all meals and snacks.

Meals are sourced fresh, and range from local seafood caught straight off Top Gun II, to delicious pasta dishes, mouth-watering barbecued meats, fresh salads, and more. The only items not included in your charter cost are any alcoholic drinks or soft drinks. We don’t provide these for you in order to keep costs down, so you’re free to BYO as much as you’d like. If you have a favourite snack you can’t live without, we recommend bringing some along too.

For day charters out of Perth, Top Gun II is an entirely BYO venue, giving you limitless options for food and drink.
